Full Professor at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering (1995), a master’s (1998), and a Ph.D. (2002) in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia. In 2015/2016, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at North Carolina State University (NC State), Raleigh (USA), in the area of Innovation Management. Since 2007, she has been a professor at UFV in the Department of Production and Mechanical Engineering (DEP), where she served as Department Head from 2017-2019. She is a faculty member of the Professional Master’s in Technological Innovation and Intellectual Property (MPITIP) at UFMG and the Master’s in Economics at UFV. Currently, she is the Executive Director of the Technological Center for Regional Development of Viçosa (CenTev/UFV), an organization of UFV that encompasses the Business Incubator, the Viçosa Technology Park (tecnoPARQ), the Junior Enterprise Hub, and the Social Development Center (Nudese). She is the President of the National Association of Organizations Promoting Innovative Enterprises (Anprotec). She is the President of the Latin American Division of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP). She is the President of the Minas Gerais Innovation Network (management 2021/2022). She was the coordinator of the Public Policy Advisory Chamber of Fapemig (2018-2022). She was the Director of CenTev, and from 2007 to 2011, she was the Coordinator of the Business Incubator. She was a Member of the Permanent Committee on Intellectual Property of UFV (CPPI/NIT) from 2008-2015. She was Director of the Minas Gerais Innovation Network (RMI), management 2013/2014. She was Director of the Brazilian Association of Production Engineering (Abepro), management 2010/2011. Her priority areas of expertise are innovation management and product development. She is the leader of the research and technological extension group Management Technologies Center (NTG).
