About me
Gustavo Arellano is a Chemical Engineer with an MBA from Venezuela, who has extensive commercial experience in marketing outside of the sports industry. He completed a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration and Technology in Switzerland in 2015. He successfully built the FIBA Market Intelligence and Research Program, supported the implementation of a new competition system for National Federation teams worldwide, and managed the global sponsorship program for the FIBA China Basketball World Cup 2019. Currently, he is responsible for the commercial development of the FIBA family with a focus on the sustainable growth of basketball around the world. Recently, he established partnerships with Twitch, Synergy Sports, and ESL Facit Group (EFG) for the development of eFIBA. He also founded a sports thinking group in Lausanne and works as an ad honorem commercial advisor for Special Olympics.
