About me

Alcione Albanesi is a businesswoman and the founder of a leading company in the national lighting market. In 1993, she started Amigos do Bem, which is now one of the largest social institutions in Brazil, regularly assisting 150,000 people in the northeastern backlands, one of the most underprivileged regions in the country, through life-changing projects.

The creator of a “Sustainable Social Development Model,” which generates work and income for thousands of people and provides education to over 10,000 children and young people in the backlands, Alcione leads the largest group of active volunteers in the country. She believes transformation is possible and that everyone can become a multiplier of good.

Alcione is the first «Leadership with Impact,» appointed by the UN Global Compact Brazil, as a representative of Sustainable Development Goal 1 – No Poverty.
