Director

Arlindo Galvão is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), where he is a permanent faculty member of the Master’s and PhD programs in Computer Science, specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Voice Processing. He currently holds several high-level leadership positions, serving as the CEO of the Competence Center for Immersive Technologies (AKCIT) and the Director of Internationalization at the Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (CEIA-UFG). Arlindo also plays a pivotal role in international scientific diplomacy as the General Co-Chair of the Brazil-Germany Bragfost Symposium (2025-2026). With a solid academic background from PUC, ITA, and UFG (graduating cum laude), he has extensive experience leading international innovation projects in partnership with global agencies such as Eureka Global Stars, Vinnova (Sweden), and Innosuisse (Switzerland). His commitment to the global research community is further evidenced by his role as General Chair for the joint SVR, SBGames, and SIBGRAPI 2026 conference and his work as the Latin American Sponsorship Chair for the MICCAI 2028 bid. His work remains at the forefront of AI sovereignty, immersive technologies, and fostering global research-to-industry ecosystems.
