Secretaria Estadual de Saúde Rio Grande do Sul

DGAE Diretora

After 13 years working in the private sector in the field of information technology, I returned to health management as it is my passion. I served as director of regulation and deputy secretary of health in the municipality of Viamao/RS from 2013 to 2016. I was a collaborator and technical advisor for COSEMS between 2017 and 2018, providing technical guidance and support for health management to municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul. Since January 2019, I have held the position of director of the department of specialized care management (DGAE) at the state health secretariat of Rio Grande do Sul (SES/RS). In this role, I coordinate the state's entire specialized care network. I was directly involved in opening more than 1,500 ICU beds during the COVID-19 pandemic and was part of the governor's technical support group for the controlled distancing program and the 3 As system. I led the technical and epidemiological study that resulted in resolution CIB 50, a milestone in the organization of referrals for medium and high complexity care in the state. I manage the state's largest health budget and, as director of the DGAE, I am responsible for over 200 health contracts with hospitals and outpatient services, as well as the processing of the SUS/RS database. I designed and developed the methodology for the Assistir program, the state's largest hospital financial incentive program, with an annual budget of over 1 billion reais, which increased the availability of specialized services by 275%. Recently, I coordinated strategic actions during the largest calamity in the recent history of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, ensuring oxygen supply logistics and access to essential treatments such as hemodialysis. I also led the organization and distribution of supplies and medicines to hospitals and clinics during the critical period of the crisis, sourced from donations across the country.
