In addition to being a single mother to 14-year-old Manu, Márcia Silveira has an executive career spanning 25 years and currently serves as head of diversity, equity, and inclusion in advocacy and influence at L’Oréal Groupe Brazil. She manages an agenda that encompasses ethnic-racial, PWD, LGBTQIA+, gender, and generational inclusion within the creative economy through brand influencers. She previously worked at Instituto Beleza Natural in Brazil and the United States, and more recently held the position of communications director at Sistema B Brasil, a non-profit organization aiming to redefine business success. With an executive MBA from Coppead (UFRJ) and extensions from business schools such as Instituto de Empresa in Madrid and Boston College in Massachusetts, Márcia is a reference in beauty and diversity. She was recognized as one of the top 10 Black female executives in Brazil by Revista Raça in 2024 and one of the top 10 outstanding Black women in Brazil in 2022 by Mundo Negro. Additionally, she won the 2022 Mulher Imprensa Trophy and the Ubuntu Award in 2023. She is a fiscal councilor at Fundação 1Bi, iFood’s social arm for education and technology, a councilor at the Pact for the Promotion of Racial Equality, and a member of the Conselheira 101 collective, which trains Black women for board positions.
