The Death of Waste: The Last Frontier of Sanitation

Basic sanitation is the preventive climate resilience strategy that Brazil has yet to implement at scale. While 50 percent of our population lives without the essentials, the consequences spill over into our hospitals: thousands of preventable deaths each year and a direct impact of around 800 million reais in hospital costs that could instead be reinvested in high complexity treatments. We address our work at the epicenter of this crisis, using technological advances to eliminate liabilities at the point where they are generated. We innovate to break the cycle of contamination that directly affects public health today. Waste is still discarded without any proper treatment. We are not just solving a serious problem; we are installing high technology sanitary barriers to save lives and public budgets, transforming what currently kills into a resource that heals.
