She Holds a PhD in Business Administration from the São Paulo School of Business and Economics of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (EAESP-FGV), a Master's degree in Social Communications, and a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations (PUCRS); she a Public Servant for 28 years, Director-General of the Federal Senate since 2015; professor in the Master's and Doctoral programs in Public Administration at the Brazilian Institute of Teaching, Development and Research (IDP); member of the board of Caixa Seguridade Co., columnist, and author of "Intrapreneurship in the federal public sector with focus on social inclusion."
Ilana leads one of the most complex administrative systems in the Brazilian public sector, with internationally recognized performance. At the head of the Senate's administration, she has undertaken several effective actions in the environmental, social, and governance fields. She advocates for various social equity and fights for women in situations of economic vulnerability due to domestic and family violence. She has instituted initiatives to prevent and combat harassment in the workplace; she Co-foundedr the Parliamentary Front of the Brazilian Antarctic Program and is a founding member of the Women of Brazil Group, Federal District section.
