CURRICULUM – STATE DEPUTY ERNANI POLO
Born in Ijuí and raised in the municipality of Santo Augusto/RS, Ernani Polo is a farmer. He is married to Alessandra Polo and is the father of Maria Eduarda and Eduardo Polo.
In 2000, he was elected city councilor in Santo Augusto, and in 2001 he served as president of the City Council.
In 2010, he ran for State Deputy for the Progressistas party, receiving 38,767 votes.
In 2014, he was re-elected State Deputy with 57,427 votes.
From 2015 to 2018, he served as State Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
In 2017, he was elected president of the National Council of State Secretaries of Agriculture (CONSEAGRI).
In 2018, he was re-elected State Deputy with 67,248 votes.
From January 2020 to February 2021, he served as president of the Legislative Assembly.
In November 2021, he was elected vice president of the National Union of State Legislators and Legislative Bodies (UNALE) for the southern region (Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná).
In 2022, he was re-elected for his fourth term as State Deputy, with 67,515 votes, being the ninth most voted deputy in the state.
From 2023 to 2026, he served as State Secretary of Economic Development, returning to the Legislative Assembly in 2026.
