Ângela Beatriz de Assis is CEO of Brasilprev since Nov 2020. She holds a degree in International Relations achieved at the University of Brasília, an MBA in Human Resources from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and she specializes in Strategic Leadership at the Inpad/Unisinos. Her career began at Banco do Brasil in 1992 where she continued up to 2004 in the Retail and Wholesale sector. While she was still working at BB, she was the division manager in the Retail and Cards divisions (2004/2009) and executive manager of the Internal Controls division (2009/2012). She also worked for 11 months as Director of Insurance, Pension Plans and Capitalization, before taking over the position of Director of Clients, Commercial and Products at BB Seguros (2013/2017). After this period, Ângela worked as the Commercial and Marketing Director at Brasilprev and, since 2020, she is the first woman to hold the position of CEO of the company. Under her leadership, the company has made progress on several fronts: it has developed and make public its commitments to sustainability, setting targets for 2026, expanded and given independence to its Data and Longevity areas, and received recognitions that attest to the company´s future vision, such as the Age Friendly seal and presence on the list of the 20 most innovative companies in the country, according to MIT. As a CEO, she was a member of the board of directors of BB Dental (2016/2017), BB Elo Cartões’ Audit Committee (2017/2020). She has been since Feb 2022, a member of the Brasilcap Audit Committee and Cielo S.A. – Payment Institution Audit Committee since Set 2023.
