Richard is a Partner at MSW Capital, a Venture Capital firm specialized in working with large corporations in startup investments. He is dedicated to MSW’s multi-corporate funds, as well as BB Ventures in partnership with Banco do Brasil and Embraer Ventures.
He serves on the boards of the startups PagaLeve, Voltbras, Lina, Payfy, and Tidewise.
He holds a degree in Business Administration from PUC-Rio and postgraduate qualifications from UC San Diego and MIT. He began his entrepreneurial career at PUC’s Junior Enterprise and, in 2004, founded his first company, Pointer Market Intelligence. Prior to MSW, he also worked at L’Oréal and Merrill Lynch.
Richard participates in selection committees for several startup programs and acts as a mentor within the innovation ecosystem. He also hosts the MSW Corporate Venture Cast, the first podcast in Brazil dedicated to Corporate Venture Capital. He previously served on the boards of Olivia and Car10, both acquired by strategic investors (Nubank and Santander) in 2021.
