Andréa Veríssimo is a Veterinarian (UFRGS) holding a Master’s in Rural Management from Lincoln University (New Zealand), with advanced studies from Harvard and Berkeley. She is the founder of Avelã Public Affairs and Avelã Big Data, a tech startup specializing in agribusiness intelligence. Her portfolio includes the development of major data platforms such as ABPA Data, BI Cotton Brazil, and the IPC Global Data, the first international big data analytics platform for the poultry sector.
Currently, Andréa serves as the International Relations and Communications Director at UNEM (National Corn Ethanol Union). She spearheads the "Brazilian Distillers Grains" project in partnership with ApexBrasil, which received the prestigious 2025 ApexBrasil + EXAME International Business Award. With a background in public affairs and global trade promotion (ABIEC), she has been recognized with numerous awards for brand development, innovation, and female leadership in agriculture.
