SOUTH SUMMIT BRINGS TOGETHER INVESTORS, SCALEUPS AND COMPANIES IN LONDON TO DRIVE THE GROWTH OF THE EUROPEAN INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM
On April 23, a new edition of Scaleup Series will take place in London, an international series of events organized by South Summit in collaboration with IE University, aimed at analyzing key trends, fostering investment, and strengthening strategic connections within the European entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The event will be held at Dawn Capital (Level 7, Ilona House, Manette St, London W1D 4AL), starting at 5:30 PM.
After taking place in different international hubs, London has established itself as one of the strategic locations in this series of gatherings that connect startups, scaleups, investment funds, companies, and leading institutions to generate business and collaboration opportunities.
Madrid, April 10, 2026 - South Summit will hold a new edition of Scaleup Series in London on April 23, the series of international gatherings co-organized with IE University and designed to boost the growth of scaleups and strengthen their network with entrepreneurs and investors from the European innovation ecosystem. With this objective, recent editions of Scaleup Series have brought together nearly 1,000 attendees from 35 countries, 220 startups, 170 investors, 60 corporations, and 8 unicorns worldwide.
The event will take place at Dawn Capital (Level 7, Ilona House, Manette St, London W1D 4AL), starting at 5:30 PM, and will begin with an institutional welcome by Juan José Güemes, Senior Vice President Strategy & Corporate Growth and Chairman of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at IE University, together with Liz Fleming, Chief Ecosystem Officer at South Summit
The program will include panels focused on the challenges scaleups face in Europe, including investment opportunities, talent attraction, and international expansion.
Among the speakers taking part in the event are:
• Mike Butcher, founder and editor at Pathfounders, a platform focused on content and community for entrepreneurs and technology ecosystems.
• Samy Abou Saab, founder and CEO at ZIGZAG, a company that develops technological solutions for return management in e-commerce.
• Ana Avaliani, director of Enterprise at Royal Academy of Engineering, an institution that promotes excellence in engineering and supports technology-based business innovation.
The event will also feature leading figures from European venture capital such as:
• Henry Mason, partner at Dawn Capital, a venture capital firm specialized in B2B software and technology scaleups.
• Benoit Wirz, founding partner at Brighteye, a fund focused on investments in edtech and startups in the education sector.
The agenda also includes the session “From London to the World, and Back Again,” focused on the international expansion of scaleups, with the participation of Seth M Phillips, founder and CEO at Bound, a company offering solutions to manage foreign exchange risk and international payments for global companies; Pedro Hernández, cofounder and Chief Strategy Officer at Build38, a company specialized in security technology for mobile applications and protection against digital fraud; Harrison Rose, cofounder at Paddle and Goodfit, companies focused respectively on payment and growth solutions for software, and on wellness and fitness.
After London, Scaleup Series will continue its international journey in capitals such as Rabat and Buenos Aires, culminating with South Summit Madrid, which will take place from June 3 to 5, bringing together global talent in entrepreneurship, investment, and innovation.
