Three Catalan startups, awarded at South Summit Madrid 2026
· Based in Barcelona, Macadam has won the Consumer vertical, Mitiga has won the Climate Tech & Sustainability vertical and Secrets Vault has won the Trust Tech & Data vertical.
· Co-organized by IE University, South Summit Madrid 2026 brings together the main players in the entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem until tomorrow, June 5, including 600 international speakers, nearly 4,900 startups and more than 2,000 investors.

Madrid, June 4, 2026 – Three Catalan startups, based in Barcelona, have been awarded today at South Summit Madrid 2026, co-organized by IE University.
Macadam, which has developed a mobile app that rewards users for walking and staying active, has won the Consumer vertical; Mitiga, which uses Artificial Intelligence and climate models to analyze and minimize the risks that climate change poses to companies, Climate Tech & Sustainability, and Secrets Vault, which leverages post-quantum technology to create security keys from images, improving data and user protection, is the winner of Trust Tech & Data.
Under the slogan 'AI Convergence', South Summit Madrid brings together from yesterday, June 3, until tomorrow, June 5, some of the greatest global leaders in the entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem.
The Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment of the Community of Madrid, Rocío Albert, will be in charge of closing the fifteenth edition of the meeting, in an event in which the winning startup of the Startup Competition will be announced, as well as the winners in the startup categories 'Most Disruptive', 'Most Sustainable', 'Most Scalable' and startup with the 'Best Team'.
