Position: Managing Director of COFIDES. Appointed in November 2022.
Professional experience:
2019-2022: Deputy Director General for External Debt Management and International Financing at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business. Responsible for the bilateral management of Spain's external debt assets and for Spain's representation in the Paris Club for negotiating multilateral debt restructuring agreements. Member of the board of the Spanish Export Credit Agency (CESCE) and of the Interministerial Investment Committees of several Spanish public financial instruments (FIEX, FONPYME, FONREC, FONPRODE, FIEM).
2012-2019: Advisor to the Deputy Director General for External Debt Management and International Financing.
2011-2012: Economist at the Research Department of the Bank of Spain.
2009: Consultant at the World Bank.
2006-2008: Economist at the Research Department of the Bank of Spain.
Education:
Since 2012, member of the High Corps of Spanish State Economists and Trade Experts.
Master's degree in economic policy management from Columbia University (New York).
Degree in Economics from Carlos III University (Madrid).
