Ted Yang is an MIT engineer, entrepreneur, author, and former finance executive who has founded more than a dozen companies across technology, media, consumer products, and social impact. He has built and backed ventures including Daily Voice, Highclere Castle Spirits, Playerpulse, ChemPacific, Adapt Beauty, and Gather Insurance, and several of his companies have exited, including Purple Insurance, Confirm.io, and Device42. Ted is the author of Ageless Peak Performance: The Playbook for AI-Powered Excellence, which explores how AI can extend human excellence from a short-lived peak into a decades-long plateau, reshaping how individuals and teams think, learn, and perform. He serves as a Regent for Higher Education, appointed by Governor Ned Lamont, helping oversee the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities System. During the pandemic, he founded 4-CT, Connecticut’s largest COVID-19 relief fund, which delivered more than $23 million in aid to vulnerable communities. Earlier in his career, Ted held senior leadership and CTO roles at leading financial institutions including Tudor, Citadel, and Bridgewater Associates. He is also the author of Table for Five, a personal account of his triplets born at 24 weeks, a worldwide speaker at venues like TEDx, South Summit, Startup Grind, Cleantech Open, and university commencements, and was nominated for a Regional Emmy Award for his writing on 4-CT’s public service campaigns.
