Head of Open Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Emilio Martínez Gavira leads Open Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Enagás, a leading energy infrastructure company. Through Enagás Emprende, the company’s corporate venture arm, we foster the energy transition—particularly in the field of renewable gases—leveraging a range of open innovation approaches. To date, Enagás Emprende has invested in 19 startups and 2 venture capital funds.
Emilio serves as a board member in several startups and actively mentors and advises entrepreneurs. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), a Master’s in Internationalisation from ICEX-CECO, and has completed the Senior Executive Programme at IESE Business School.
He is deeply engaged in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, where he has been active for nearly 20 years, having started his career at Madrid Emprende, an initiative of the Madrid City Council.
