Lejla Hodzic, FCCA, is Global Head of Risk at BBVA Spark, where she leads the global risk strategy supporting high-growth technology companies across venture debt and lending solutions. She is responsible for building and scaling robust risk frameworks and driving efficient decision-making that enable sustainable growth in the innovation and startup ecosystem.
Lejla brings over 18 years of international experience in risk management, debt finance and corporate banking. Prior to joining BBVA Spark, she served as Chief Risk Officer at Growth Lending, where she played a key role in strengthening credit and underwriting capabilities for fast-growing businesses. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles at Barclays, where she specialized in structuring complex debt financing transactions, loan origination and managing credit approval processes across diverse sectors.
She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) having started her career at KPMG and has completed executive education in leadership and transformation at Wharton Executive Education.
