Kiko Llaneras is a data journalist at EL PAÍS, where he leads the data and graphics team. He is the author of Think Clearly: Eight Simple Rules to Succeed in the Data Age (Penguin Random House, 2025), a bestseller in Spain now being translated into Korean, German, Chinese and Japanese.
He holds a PhD in Engineering and spent ten years in research and teaching before turning to journalism. His weekly EL PAÍS newsletter, read by more than 42,000 of the paper's subscribers, won the Vicente Verdú Prize in 2024.
