Claudia Costin is an educator and public policy specialist with a distinguished career in Brazil and internationally. She served as Rio de Janeiro’s Secretary of Education, São Paulo’s Secretary of Culture, Brazil’s Minister of Public Administration and State Reform, and Senior Director for Global Education at the World Bank. She was a visiting professor at the Schools of Education at Harvard and Stanford Universities. She founded FGV’s Center for Education Policy and is the Executive President of Instituto Salto, created to scale up best practices in education. Over the years, Costin has explored the impact of technology—including artificial intelligence—on education. Her work bridges local and global perspectives, making her an essential voice in contemporary education debates.
