Dr. Hitendra Patel is the Founder and CEO of the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI) and the Managing Director of the IXL Center. A world-renowned "innovation guru," Dr. Patel has helped over 200 Fortune 1000 companies and numerous governments—including significant work across Brazil—identify strategic growth engines and build world-class innovation capabilities.
Dr. Patel is a prolific entrepreneur in the fields of robotics, AI, and professional training. He began his career as a technologist at Motorola, where he was awarded six patents. Today, he is a leading educator, serving as a Professor of Innovation and Strategy at Hult International Business School and the Rotman School of Management, having mentored over 5,000 MBA students and executives globally.
A recognized thought leader and author of several books, including Connectivate! and Thinking and Acting Differently to Make Innovation Real, Dr. Patel also serves on the board of the Hult Prize, the world’s largest social-impact startup accelerator. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and an MBA from Kellogg, combining deep technical expertise with pragmatic business strategy to drive "bigger, bolder innovations faster and cheaper.
