Veronica Allende Serra is founding partner of Innova Capital, an investment management company investing proprietary capital of large family offices in high growth businesses, mainly in technology. Veronica also founded Pacific Investimentos in 2001 where she partnered with global PE funds to invest in Brazil. Prior to founding her company she worked at Goldman Sachs and Leucadia National in NY and in Banco Itaú BBA in São Paulo. Veronica has been involved in the largest tech transactions in Latam in the past 2 decades. Her early investments include Mercado Libre (Nasdaq: MELI), Patagon, Wanako Games, Allied and Virid. Some recent investments: Celcoin, Adventures, MonetaLabs, Calypso AI, SemantixAI, Clearsale (B3: CLSA3), Movile (ifood), Nevo, ZenClub, Ripple, Brex, Chime, Rapyd, Parsempo, Immunai and Articul8 AI. Recent exits: Clearsale, Accera, Sigga, TradeForce, Snap, Jampp, Vitta and Editas Medicine (Nasdaq: Edit). Veronica is also an investor in various Endeavor’s Catalyst funds, Biomatics Capital, Maya Capital, Unicorn Fund among others. Veronica is very active in entrepreneurship as a mentor and a frequent host gathering the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Latam, where she helped establish numerous companies. She conceived and started Superbid, helped build Patagon in Brazil, invested and was a Board Member of Mercado Libre (Nasdaq MELI $100B+ market cap) from 2007-2016 and Movile (ifood) from 2014-2020). In addition to following her portfolio, Veronica currently sits on the board of Endeavor Global https://endeavor.org where she is very active in both local and international selection panels. She was a member of Harvard Business School’s Alumni Board and HBS’s Latin Advisory Board. She collaborates with Fundação Estudar, where she was awarded a fellowship to HBS, served as director for 3 years, started its endowment and sits in the fundraising committee. Veronica was a member of the HBS Alumni Board (2015-2018), Board member of Ismart (2010-2014), was a member of the G-50 http://www.g-50.org, YPO, co-founder of the Latin American Start up Challenge, Judge & Member of the XTC, member of the GBBC and is an advisor to Ripple. In 2015, she was appointed top 20 female business leaders by Latin Trade Magazine. Veronica is a frequent speaker at South Summit Brazil where she is a member of the Honorary Board. Since 2018 to date she has been in Latam's top female tech investor list. In 2020, Veronica was the only female featured in a full chapter of the book Fora da Curva II, profiling the top 13 investment managers in Brazil. Veronica was awarded Mentor of the Year in Endeavor Brazil’s 2022 annual gala and a keynote speaker at Endeavor Uruguay’s annual gala in 2024. She has been featured in the podcasts of the JCurve, YPOcast and Astella. Veronica received her MBA from Harvard Business School in 1997 and graduated in Law from the University of São Paulo and Art from Escola Panamenticana de Arte. In 2013 she established a fellowship to sponsor female entrepreneurs attending HBS. She was born in Chile, grew up in the US & Brazil, is fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian, and conversant in German. Veronica has 3 kids: Antonio, Gabriella and Francisco.
