Pedro Bortolotto is an Executive Director at Alvarez & Marsal Brazil, with over 20 years of experience in business transformation, restructuring, and strategic planning. Mr. Bortolotto specializes in turnarounds, performance improvement, new business models, and strategic planning.
Mr. Bortolotto has worked across multiple sectors, including consumer goods, services, real estate, food, and agribusiness, supporting companies in Brazil, Latin America, the United States, and Europe. His relevant engagements include the value creation plan for the current leader in Brazilian agribusiness retail, the market entry and expansion strategy in Brazil for the global leader in nitrogen-based fertilizers, the establishment of two shared services centers, the introduction in Brazil of the fast-construction business model for multi-story buildings, the expansion into Latin America of Brazil’s largest food company, and the European expansion of Brazil’s largest food company.
Over the past decade, he has held several roles as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) and Strategic Planning Director, working directly with boards of directors and key shareholders.
More recently, Mr. Bortolotto led the consolidation of the Brazilian agribusiness retail sector through a private equity investment by Aqua Capital. He designed and executed the value creation plan, increasing revenues from BRL 2 billion to BRL 10 billion in three years, while structuring all major business areas and supporting the company’s IPO process on B3. He also led the company’s strategic planning process and the creation of a Shared Services Center.
He began his professional career as a trainee at Termolar S.A., where he worked on the turnaround of the industrial operations and coordinated the restructuring of the S&OP process in close collaboration with the sales area. He also participated in product launch projects, including the sports and stainless steel (Inox) product lines.
Mr. Bortolotto holds a degree in Production Engineering from UFRGS – Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – and a Master’s degree from UNISINOS – University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos. He has also completed several executive education programs at leading business schools, including ESPM, FDC, Amana Key, IESE, and Saint Paul. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
Currently, Pedro Bortolotto leads the Rio Grande do Sul office.
