Pedro Valério holds a degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and is the Executive Director of Instituto Caldeira. As an entrepreneur with a long trajectory at the American Chamber of Commerce, he has played a key role in the creation and development of several initiatives aimed at fostering and promoting the innovation ecosystem in Rio Grande do Sul.
He previously served as Director of Product & Market at Opus Entretenimento, working in the cultural sector and managing cultural venues across Brazil. He is also a former Ambassador for the Southern Region of Brazil at the Swedish innovation school Hyper Island (HI).
As a co-founder of the second cohort of Ciclo Empreendedor, he believes in building entrepreneurial and learning communities. In 2015, he was selected by the U.S. Department of State to represent Brazil in the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP), an exclusive program for young leaders from emerging markets to explore the role of entrepreneurship as a driving force for economic and social development.
In 2022, he was awarded the Medal of the City of Porto Alegre, and in 2024, he was named Innovation Commander of Porto Alegre. Currently, he also serves as Director of the Innovation Division at Federasul, Vice President of the Associação dos Comerciários de Porto Alegre (ACPA), and a member of the State Council for Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul. He is also a member of the Innovation and Technology Council at FIERGS, the University Council at UFRGS, and the Board of Casa dos Raros, a center for comprehensive care and training in rare diseases, established through a partnership between Instituto Genética para Todos and Casa Hunter—two civil society organizations dedicated to rare genetic diseases.
Additionally, he is a Trustee of the South Summit Brazil 2025.
Above all, he is the proud father of Otto, João, and Bento.
