David Levi shapes AI research collaborations between industry and academia at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. He works with leading global firms to guide the trajectory of AI research toward human-centered principles. In doing so, he advances Stanford HAI as industry’s most trusted platform for strategic engagement and thought leadership in the AI ecosystem. He specializes in launching initiatives that translate cutting-edge AI into augmenting human capabilities, spanning domains including the future of work, agentic AI, and sustainability. Prior to Stanford, David built pioneering partnerships in sectors as diverse as mining and education. He brings an interdisciplinary perspective to the AI landscape, grounded in ethics, innovation, and institutional strategy. He holds a Master of Theological Studies in Religion, Ethics, and Politics from Harvard University and a Master of Technology Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
