Jan Gunnar Karsten has 34 years of experience in the Wealth Management/Asset Management industry, with tenures at Banco Matrix, BankBoston, UBS, and Citibank. Between 2016 and 2022, he held the position of CEO of GPS/JBFO, which more recently became BTG. He is currently a partner and CEO of Brainvest Brasil. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a Master's degree in Economics (stricto sensu) from the same university. He also holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and CFP (Certified Financial Planner) certifications. He is a board member of the FPSB (Financial Planning Standards Board - the master franchisor of the CFP), a member of the Advisory Board of Integral, and a member of the Investment Committee of Visão Prev, Vivo's pension fund.
