Gustavo Arruda

Founder

Gustavo Arruda is the CEO and co-founder of QuaTI – Quantum Technology & Information, a Brazilian company dedicated to the advancement of quantum technologies. He holds a degree in Physics from UFSCar and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Institute of Physics of São Carlos (IFSC-USP). His work focuses on Quantum Computing and Quantum Information, with an emphasis on optimization problems and machine learning applications. He completed his third postdoctoral research at the Department of Computer Engineering and Digital Systems at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP), where he led quantum optimization projects in collaboration with Banco Bradesco. Gustavo also coordinates professional training programs in quantum computing at UNICAMP’s extension school (Extecamp), contributing to the development of Brazil’s quantum ecosystem. Passionate about science communication, he collaborates with EMC² – the Media, Culture, and Science Studio at IFSC-USP – and has taken part in national media initiatives such as the TV show Fantástico, helping to promote public understanding of cutting-edge scientific and technological advances.
