Fernanda Caloi is a mother of three, an avid meditator, facilitator, and networking enthusiast, currently serving as the CEO of LALA in Brazil. LALA is a social organization founded eight years ago that provides leadership development programs for youth aged 14 to 20 across Latin America. LALA’s mission is to identify and develop the next generation of leaders; the network currently includes 3,000 young people, 70% of whom are based in Brazil. Among them, over 65% come from underrepresented backgrounds and 70% are women. Previously, she was the Growth Director and General Manager of Products at Latitud (now recognized as one of Latin America's top Venture Capital funds). She also spent 10 years at Google, starting in sales before transitioning to Google for Startups as a program manager, where she was part of the team that launched Google Campus in 2016. During her time at Google, she led the global startup programs team and played a key role in launching the Black Founders Fund, an initiative that has invested in over 60 tech startups with Black founders in Brazil. Fernanda is a member of the Columbia Women's Leadership Network in Brazil and serves as an advisor and mentor for startups and entrepreneurship initiatives. Furthermore, she envisioned and moved with her family to a sustainable community in the countryside of São Paulo. There, they implement positive impact techniques for energy production, water reuse, soil and food management, and promote a collective lifestyle.
