Ricardo is a successful entrepreneur with 30 years of experience in the banking and payments sector. He holds a degree in Business Administration from FGV/SP. He began his career in 1996, working at Credit Suisse on the M&A team, providing advisory services in the banking and retail sectors and taking on leadership roles in the privatization of ABN Amro and JCPenney in Brazil. Ricardo also has a strong entrepreneurial track record. In 1999, he founded Conductor, a credit and debit card processing company. Under his leadership until 2012, Conductor became a leader in consumer finance BPO for private‑label and retail cards in Brazil and was the first processor in the country to receive PCI‑DSS certification. Between 2012 and 2015, Ricardo founded three additional companies, developing projects in structured finance, education technology, and strategic management. In 2016, he and three partners founded Pismo after identifying a gap in the technology infrastructure available for financial services, with a strong focus on cloud‑based technology. Ricardo served as Pismo’s CEO until April 2025, when he transitioned to an advisory role.
