Gabriel Souza
Vice Governor of Rio Grande do Sul
Gabriel Souza is a veterinarian, graduated from Ulbra. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Public Administration at the University of Lisbon, Portugal, and at IDP, Brazil.
He holds a master's degree in Business Law and Citizenship from Unicuritiba and a specialization in Public Management from UCDB. He has executive training from the Harvard School of Public Health (USA), Insper (SP), Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-Rio), and the Development Bank of Latin America.
Born in Porto Alegre on January 2, 1984, Gabriel grew up in Tramandaí, on the North Coast, where he began his journey in public life as a teenager, as a student leader. He is married to Talise Tiecher and father of Dora.
With more than 20 years of experience in public life, he served two terms as a state deputy in the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Sul, where he held prominent positions such as president of the Parliament, government leader, and leader of the caucus. He is currently the vice-governor of the state, alongside Governor Eduardo Leite.
