Christian Kieling, MD, PhD, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist focused on transforming youth mental health through research, early detection, and innovation. He directs the Mental Health Research Unit at Hospital Moinhos de Vento and leads the Child and Adolescent Depression Program at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He is the Principal Investigator of the Identifying Depression Early in Adolescence (IDEA) Consortium and co-founder of the digital mental health platform Wida.
