In 2022, she served as deputy secretary of the Secretariat of Innovation, Science and Technology. She was the administrative director of the Innovation Environments Network of Rio Grande do Sul (Reginp) and chaired the Superior Council of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Fapergs), of which she remains a member. She holds a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), and a master's and doctorate in Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She has held management positions at the University of Vale do Taquari (Univates) and the Commercial and Industrial Association of Lajeado (Acil).
