A graduate in Occupational Safety and with a postgraduate degree in Emergency and Disaster Management, he has worked for the Rio Grande do Sul Military Fire Department since 1998. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Climate Change.
He works in the Operations and Civil Defense Advisory Department of the CBMRS, focusing on multi-threat monitoring, social impact and disaster risk reduction, as well as the integration of early warning services. He has an interest in the areas of climatology, geoinformation, data analysis and technological innovation applied to emergency management.
He conducts research on risk communication and warning systems, focusing on transforming technical information into anticipatory decisions and actions aimed at protecting life, property and the environment.
