Simone has more than 15 years of experience in the practice of Law in Brazil. She started her career as an intern at Boccuzzi Advogados Associados and became a junior associate in April, 2004 when she was admitted to practice law by the Brazilian Bar Association. In October, 2004 she joined the Legal Department of DuPont do Brasil as an in-house lawyer and resigned 9 years later to pursue an LL.M degree from the University of Virginia (UVA), in Charlottesville, USA. When returning to Brazil back in 2015, she joined the Legal Department of LANXESS Brazil as a Legal Manager, responsible for all legal matters in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
She has a generalist background as a result of her professional activities initially at DuPont and later at LANXESS, where she currently gives broad legal support to all the companies of the group in Contracts, Corporate, Antitrust, Litigation, Environment, Intelectual Property, Collection, M&A.
In 2001 when she still was a J.D candidate, she was the first Brazilian student to be awarded a full scholarship to study at the University of Westminster in London, UK as part of the “Study Abroad Programme”. While working for DuPont, she traveled multiple times to the USA to participate in Six Sigma’s training sessions and to participate in the annual Minority Counsel Conference sponsored by E.I. du Pont de Nemours.
Simone holds a JD degree from Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP), a specialization degree in Contracts from GVLaw and an LL.M degree from UVA.
She is native in Portuguese and is fluent in English. She obtained the First Certificate in English (FCE) and the Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from the University of Cambridge.
She likes working in challenging projects and to be a business partner. Her main skills include communication with impact, teamwork, collaboration, leadership & team management.
