José Antonio González Rojas is the COO LatAm and co-founder of Hera Materials, a Chilean-US startup revolutionizing sustainable packaging through AI, robotics, and deeptech. With a background in entrepreneurship and strategic operations, he leads Hera’s industrial scale-up, commercial partnerships, and global expansion. Inspired by a childhood dream shared with his sister Paloma (CEO), José Antonio helped transform a scientific vision into a global climate solution. Under his leadership, Hera has earned international recognition—including being named a Chilean Startup of the Decade, Global Winner at South Summit Brazil, and a Harvard Nucleate, among others—while scaling pilots across 20+ clients and developing globally certified biomaterials that are recyclable, compostable, and AI-optimized to replace plastic at scale. He is passionate about sustainability, recycling, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
