OUCHHH STUDIO

Director and New Media Artist
Ferdi Alici is a new media artist, creative director, and the founder of OUCHHH Studio, an internationally recognized creative technology studio working at the intersection of art, science, artificial intelligence, and data. For more than 15 years, Alici has explored how algorithms, real-time data, neuroscience, and machine intelligence can become new artistic materials. His practice spans AI data paintings, immersive installations, large-scale public artworks, interactive experiences, and real-time cognitive artworks driven by brainwaves and human emotion. His work has been presented in more than 75 cities worldwide and has reached millions of people through collaborations and exhibitions connected to institutions and organizations including NASA, SpaceX, CERN, the Grand Egyptian Museum, ArtScience Museum Singapore, Ars Electronica, V&A London, and the Cannes Film Festival. Among his notable projects are Human Cell Atlas – First AI Art in Space, launched as part of the Nova-C lunar mission; Dark Machine, inspired by CERN’s subatomic collision data; and Language of the Gods, created for the Grand Egyptian Museum using artificial intelligence and archaeological data. Alici’s work investigates a central question: Can we transform humanity’s scientific, cultural, and biological data into a new form of collective artistic expression? His approach is often summarized through OUCHHH Studio’s philosophy: “Data as a paint, algorithm as a brush.”
