Marisol is an expert in Open Innovation, Ecosystem Orchestration, Fintech and Digital Transformation with more than 25 years of experience. As the Global Head of Open Innovation at BBVA, she developed the Open Innovation practice since its beginning, growing it to be a global function across all countries connecting, strategy, organization and ecosystem towards innovation. From her experience the “3 dimensions of Open Innovation” framework was born, applying first-hand learning from +90 corporations from different sectors and 9 different countries. She also has been Chief Open Innovation Officer at South Summit, the ecosystem of startups, companies, and investors to connect and find business opportunities. She also was head of Nordic Finance Innovation (NFI) in Oslo, Norway, bringing the Nordic countries together for sustainable innovation globally. Former CEO and founder of Bilakatu, a company based in Bilbao that is committed to open innovation and ecosystem orchestration. Bilakatu works throughout Spain and Europe, promoting and generating knowledge of Open Innovation, and accompanying those on the same path of collaborative innovation. Since 2018, she has led WITH (Formerly #WomenInTechSpain) an ecosystem of women executives and leaders in Spain. WITH promotes a new leadership model, more diverse, human and connected, promoting female leadership and women in executive positions. She is also currently a Business Advisor at Movizzon, Brain VC Fund and Professor at OBS Business School. She has developed a close-knit global network of allies and partners who have proven instrumental to the success of the Open Innovation project. She is perfectly positioned to connect dreamers and visionaries and bring the latest technology to us all.
